The Kinnari Crossbody Bag is our attempt to incorporate the simplicity of a handwoven banig with the practice of sustainability and upcycling.
The bag is upcycled from jute rice sacks from the local market which were then carefully hand-dyed. Instead of using leather and other synthetic fabric, the handles were fashioned from bike tyre inner tubes.The banig was sourced from a local market in Surigao City.
The bag is meticulously assembled in Marikina City.
- Upcycled from jute rice sacks, canvas flour sacks, and truck tire inner tubes
- Interior open pockets with garter keyring
- Body: 12" L x 7" H x 4" W
- Canvas lining
- Detachable cotton strap with Jute detail
