Alvin, Dindi, and Dale—friends who met at university—founded Lasa Tsokolate, a single-origin, Filipino bean-to-bar craft chocolate brand that makes premium, artisanal chocolate from directly-sourced Philippine cacao.
The cacao belt is an area of land near the equator that has the right climate to grow cacao. In this belt lies a country that is seemingly overlooked for its chocolate production: the Philippines. Alvin, Dindi, and Dale saw an opportunity to make a difference back in 2021 using a tiny melanger (grinder used to make chocolate), some cacao beans from different provinces in the Philippines, and a great deal of curiosity. This ultimately gave birth to the brand in just a year later.
With the approach of letting the inherent flavor or "Lasa" (Filipino word for flavor) of the beans to come through, the three of them are committed to increase people’s awareness on Philippine cacao and support other local businesses with every piece of tsokolate they produce.
